Tips & Life Hacks
- Egg noodles and orzo can give erratic results, making it difficult to achieve good texture.
- Do not allow pasta to sit after cooking in the water, it will continue to cook and become mushy. Make sure the sauce is ready before you cook your pasta.
- Once pasta is drained and sits in the Pasta Maker for a few minutes, shake to loosen any pasta that sticks together.
- Remove from the microwave as soon as the pasta seems almost al dente as the cooking process will still continue a little longer— it should still have some chewiness, but the center should no longer be hard or gummy.
- If you're serve the pasta warm, only rinse them if it really sticks together. Rinse the pasta with cold running water when used for cold dishes such as pasta salads; it washes away starch and stops the pasta from sticking together
- If your microwave oven has a turntable, don't worry if the pasta maker is not turning due to its size. Pause half way through to flip the Pasta Maker.
